The United Arab Emirates opened its Arabian Gulf Cup 27 campaign with a 4-0 win over Yemen in Jeddah on September 24, according to the Emirates News Agency in Abu Dhabi.

Nicolás Giménez scored in the 26th minute before a Yemen own goal in the 36th. Luan Pereira added a third in first-half stoppage time, and Giménez completed the scoring in the 52nd minute. The result gave the UAE three points in Group B.
