LODD reports orders for over 330 Hili cargo aircraft

Abu Dhabi-based LODD Autonomous says it has signed more than 11 agreements covering orders for over 330 Hili aircraft since unveiling the model in September 2025, according to an Emirates News Agency interview published on September 24.

The company said more than 70 percent of the agreements were with entities outside the UAE. Hili is a hybrid vertical-takeoff-and-landing unmanned cargo aircraft designed to carry up to 250 kilograms over about 700 kilometres. LODD, founded in 2023, is headquartered in Abu Dhabi.

LODD expects the current operational testing phase to conclude within two months and is targeting completion of technical testing by the end of 2026. A commercial trial phase is planned for mid-2027, so those milestones remain future plans and could change.
