Global deaf youth camp announced for Al Ain in September 2027

Organisers have announced that the 9th World Federation of the Deaf Youth Camp is scheduled to take place in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, from September 9 to 15, 2027. Abu Dhabi Media Office published the announcement on September 23, while the official website for the related World Federation of the Deaf congress confirms that the congress will be held in Abu Dhabi from September 19 to 23, 2027.

The camp is being organised by the World Federation of the Deaf Youth Section, the UAE Deaf Association and Zayed Authority for People of Determination. It is intended for deaf young people aged 18 to 30 and is planned to include workshops, cultural activities, leadership development and international networking.

The camp remains a future event. The source announcement said it is expected to precede the World Federation of the Deaf congress, which is held every four years. It also said the wider congress expects more than 2,000 participants from around the world; no final attendance figure for the youth camp was reported.
