Emirates announced on September 23 that it plans to mark the Mid-Autumn Festival on selected flights between Dubai and Singapore, China, Hong Kong and Malaysia on September 25 and 26. The carrier says passengers on those services are due to receive complimentary mooncakes in all cabin classes.
Its plan calls for gift boxes in First and Business Class after the first meal, while Premium Economy and Economy passengers would receive the cakes with their meal trays. Emirates also plans festival refreshments in its lounges in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai on October 6.
The announcement applies to selected flights. The onboard and lounge services were still scheduled future offerings when Emirates published its notice; it did not say they had already taken place.
